Former WMG (warner music group) has posted a blog regarding the direction of major labels.
He’s lays it out quite nicely stating that the labels need to accept that they will get back to how things were. Digital sales will never equal where physical sales were.

Greg A new website called Next Big Sound is offering the ability to track your bands stats across the internet.
This will be a huge step for small time bands to be able to offer venues/labels/agents some actually numerical statistics in regards to their activity.
Go register your band on there to get a rough 30 day graph!
Apple + Spotify = Streaming iTunes?

Greg It would appear that Apple is in negotiations to acquire Spotify.
After grabbing LALA.com, it seems all signs are pointing at Apple starting a web based streaming / subscription service.

Greg Crappy Metal band ‘Bring Me the Horizon’ hit number one on the Australian charts!
Unfortunately, they only sold 3,600 copies.
My question is….does that include digital copies?
